Marilou McKean specializes in television business
transactions, with an emphasis on negotiating and drafting
agreements relating to writers, directors, producers and
performers. In addition, Marilou is experienced in
production services and acquisition agreements.
Prior to joining Doyle & Miller, LLP, Marilou served as Vice
President, Business Affairs for Warner Bros. Television,
where she was responsible for negotiating and drafting
actor, director, writer-producer, and production services
agreements. Marilou also served as Director of Legal Affairs
while at Warner Bros. Television, handling day-to-day
production legal matters for a variety of primetime
television programs, including The West Wing, Gilmore Girls
and Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Before her tenure at Warner Bros. Television, Marilou was
employed as Director of Business Affairs for Big Ticket
Television, where she handled a wide range of primetime and
syndicated programming contract matters. Marilou joined Big
Ticket Television after working as Senior Project Manager
for D. Garvey Corporation, where she honed her business
acumen and negotiation skills. While at D. Garvey, she
managed the site acquisition, land use permitting, and
construction processes for new wireless telecommunications
networks. She specialized in the resolution of real property
and land use disputes, as well as federal and state
regulatory compliance. |

Marilou is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law,
from which she graduated cum laude and achieved the Am Jur
award in Corporations. She received her undergraduate
bachelors of arts degree from the University of Washington,
with a major in comparative history of ideas. She is a
member of the California Bar and also previously was
admitted to practice in Washington. |
