Brad Miller
specializes in the representation of clients in the
entertainment industry, including the negotiation of
agreements for writers, directors, producers, and performers
in connection with the development and production of feature
films, television movies and series. He also negotiates
network license and production services agreements for
original scripted and non-scripted television programming
and acquisition agreements for second run programming. His
expertise extends to reviewing scripts for clearance of
copyright, trademark, defamation, and invasion of privacy
issues and researching rights in pre-existing literary
properties. His clients include the Disney ABC Cable
Networks Group, Comcast Entertainment Group, High Noon
Entertainment, MTV Networks, and Rainbow Media.
Prior to forming Doyle & Miller, LLP, Brad was an executive
for the Disney ABC Cable Networks Group where he was
responsible for the
day-to-day business affairs of the ABC Family Channel. Brad
also worked as in-house counsel for Warner Bros. Television,
where he oversaw all production legal issues for television
series and pilots like Smallville and Good Morning Miami.
Brad’s advice for transactional clients is bolstered by his

Tremaine LLP as a
litigator, where he represented media and entertainment
companies in defamation, invasion of privacy, and copyright
cases, including CNN, The Los Angeles Times, Viacom, and
Warner Bros. Brad also was a litigator in the Los Angeles
office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where he
represented corporations in copyright, trademark,
employment, and securities matters including Dean Witter,
United Healthcare, and the officers and directors of
Imperial Savings.
Brad is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School
where he served as contributing editor of the Michigan
Journal of Law Reform and authored The Big Chill: Third
Party Documents and the Reporter’s Privilege. He received an
undergraduate bachelor of arts degree from the University of
Michigan, with a major in philosophy. He is a member of the
California Bar, and is admitted to appear in all Federal
District Courts in California and before the 9th Circuit
Court of Appeals. He also is a member of the Academy of
Television Arts & Sciences and was named a Southern
California Super Lawyers "Rising Star" by the publishers of
Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine each year from 2005
